Deborah Kobylt LIVE: Jonathan Shugart

Have you ever wanted to set up a charitable foundation? Then you’ll want to hear our interview with Jonathan Shugart, founder of B Charitable.

Jonathan says he believes most people are fundamentally charitable, but often don’t have the funds to set up a foundation, normally for the very rich who want to give, but also need a tax advantage. Now, anyone can do it.

B Charitable is a convenient platform recognized by the IRS as a tax-exempt public charity, but without a minimum investment. In other words, it’s not just for the rich any more, now anyone can decide how much they want to give, and fund, and get a tax deduction, too.

Please tune in to our interview today, and hear how you can set up a lifetime of charitable giving for you and your family. And hear what motivated Jonathan to do it, too. It’s really quite remarkable.

The story of a refugee is gut-wrenching, and anyone who has had to flee their country has a different story to tell.

Today we speak with Mona Hajjar Halaby, author, “In My Mother’s Footsteps,” about her experience as a refugee, as well as her mother who was also a refugee as a young girl.

It’s a sad yet beautiful story of life and forgiveness, particularly when she and her mother return to where her mom was forced to leave as a young girl. In fact, you’ll hear a story about what Mona and her mother discovered at her mom’s childhood home. It’s heart wrenching, yet filled with much beauty.

Deborah Kobylt LIVE: Alexandra & Matteo

Alex is from Whittier, California, and she met Matteo while traveling with her mom in Tuscany. They stopped at his family restaurant, Bellavista Impruneta – also the name of their hotel in the Tuscan Hills, and let’s just say love was in the sauce for these two. They fell in love, married, and decided to bring the culture, flavor, and lifestyle of Italy to Southern California.

They now have a thriving business cooking and entertaining for families, couples, and more, bringing the love of food and family into each home. And they stay late, too! I think you’ll love our segment, and in fact you might want to book for the holidays while you can, because their business has become a hit, Italian Style.

Deborah Kobylt LIVE: Don McLean

Pinch me, because legendary singer-songwriter Don McLean is in the house.
BEST known for his iconic hit, “American Pie,” about the loss of innocence during the early rock and
roll generation, Don joins me to talk about life, his new album, upcoming tour dates, and so much
more.
I had the privilege of interviewing him recently, and you might say we got each other. I told him I felt
like his lyrics were more like poetry, and felt the joy and pains he experienced in life through his
music. There’s so much to talk about.
Join me for our interview where we’ll talk about his early years, losing his dad at a young age, what his
influences are, what he listens to, and more. Perhaps you might have a question for Don, and if you
do, please reach out here.
Thank you, #DonMcLean, for the music, and for taking the time to speak with us on
#DeborahKobyltLIVE. Find our interview on all video and audio platforms. #DeborahZaraKobylt

Deborah Kobylt LIVE: Lisa Goich

Grief? It ́s a bitch, and some of us struggle getting through it, like myself.
I ́m joined today by someone who ́s been there, and writes about it in a beautiful, reflective way. Lisa Goich, friend,
author, podcast host, and director at the GRAMMY Awards, joins us to talk about her latest book, “I WONDER… A
Guided Grief Journal.”
Lisa is wildly interesting woman with an amazingly eclectic career. She ́s worked as an international touring stand-up
comic for two decades, in addition to working in radio (where I first got to know her), and now as a director with the
GRAMMY Awards, where she ́s been for over a decade.
But it was a grief after losing her mother when she wrote her first book, a personal account into love and loss, and her
latest book is already getting top nods from publications as a “must read”. As an aside, Lisa ́s dad passed away last
month, and she ́s ready to talk about it.
Here ́s a clip from our show. We get personal about life, grief, work, comedy, and so much more.
Please join us on #DeborahKobyltLIVE for this up close and personal interview with Lisa. And invite your friends, too❤️
