Deborah Zara Kobylt talks with Nick Baker, Shark Tank Contestant and Inventor of the
original Bondaroo, a breakthrough in skin to skin kangaroo care for dads. Nick invented
the shirt after his daughter’s traumatic birth left his wife unable to provide their
daughter with the skin to skin contact she desperately needed. Not willing to let his
daughter suffer, Nick ripped his shirt off in the delivery room and placed his newborn
daughter on his own chest to comfort her. Nick continued providing skin to skin
contact with his daughter and feels that the bonding experience led to him being a
better father. The Bondaroo was born out of a desire to allow other fathers the same
experience.
