Beverlye is an award-winning artist, author, and documentary film maker, and she’s beaten the odds more than once, surviving cancer that doctors said would claim her life – more than once. Now in her mid-80s with no sign of slowing
down, she writes about what’s next, what she hopes to leave behind someday, and what she’s learned from the many
hills and valleys in her life, which she shares with us. Her story is extraordinary, from early childhood to philanthrophy.

In fact, when we spoke, Melanie was calling me from her car outside of a restaurant in rural Pennsylvania.

Dylan was diagnosed with bipolar disorder and hospitalized in a mental institution in 2009. He began his professional musical career at that same time, working with top Grammy and Academy Award winning artists, but his bipolar disorder continued to plague his personal and professional life, sending him on a journey to get well so he could flourish in his career.

Dylan joins us today to talk about the many ups and downs in his life before getting proper treatment. Now, he just released the music video, “Won’t Back Down,” a tribute to Latino trailblazers who worked on the Tom Petty classic. In addition, he’s released two singles, and tributes his career resurgence to getting fit mentally.
