Deborah Kobylt LIVE: Patrice Shavone Brown

Most people think “big girls” have low self esteem and don’t feel sexy, says author Patrice Shavone Brown, but she’s not having it. Patrice may not be a size six, and she’s cool with that. In fact, she’s happy, feels beautiful in her own skin, and writes all about her journey as a woman of size in her latest book, “A Fat Girl’s Confidence. I’m Fat. So What?” Patrice tells DeborahZaraKobylt she’s tired of media deciding that bigger ladies are of less value because they aren’t stick thin. Her mission is to empower others to own their worth, regardless of size.
Patrice has worked two decades as a mental health counselor. She’s a mother of two, lost her mom and best friend in 2017, and says she’s been through a lot in her life and can help others navigate their own rough patch. “It’s hard, yet life is what you make it. And it’s full of twists and turns,” Patrice Shavone Brown shares. I hope you enjoy our show with this inspiring lady. There’s a lot of wisdom to gain here, starting with self love and acceptance

Deborah Kobylt LIVE: Renata Helfman

I’ve long admired, Renata Helfman, founder of Lipstick Angels, and believe me, Renata is an angel. Watching her grandmother battle cancer, this in-demand, Hollywood make-up artist knew the power of helping patients feel beautiful as they’re battling this awful disease. So she decided one day to put her talents to work, got her make up case, partnered with various hospitals, and now has a staff that goes every day to provide make up, beauty and spa treatments to patients in need of a mental and physical pick-me- up. Absolutely extraordinary using her gifts to help selflessly help others.

Hear all about Renata’s life and work. I promise she’ll inspire you to dig into your tool box and use your talents to make other people live their best lives.

We hope you enjoy our show, and you feel as inspired as I did speaking to to this beautiful lady.
