John McKinney, Candidate for Los Angeles City Attorney

Please join me in welcoming #JohnMcKinney, Los Angeles County Deputy District Attorney, currently running for LA City Attorney. Over these many months, I did a deep dive into the job of City Attorney and how critical this position is for health of our community here in Los Angeles.

And I wanted to invite John on my program to explain his platform. Mr. McKinney has had an interesting path, to say the least. Born in Passaic, New Jersey, he lost both parents before the age of five and was raised by his older sister, whom he credits with forming his values to this day.

He saw firsthand how some kids turned to drugs and crime as a way of life, but McKinney said he turned to education instead, graduating from #Rutgers University and eventually #UCLA Law School. McKinney may have a gentle demeanor, but he’s tough on crime and has laid out his strategies for making LA safe, which we’ll dive into. We’ll ask him to explain the job of LA City Attorney and how it makes a difference in how crimes are prosecuted.

Also, how does the position differ from his existing position as LA County Deputy District Attorney. If you have questions for Mr. McKinney, you can DM us during our LIVE interview.

We look forward to having you join us here on YouTube LIVE. We will later repost our discussion on all video and audio platforms of #DeborahKobyltLIVE. I’m your host, #DeborahZaraKobylt, and it’s my pleasure to have you join us. Please share with your friends, too. This really matters.

Gabriela Mileti, Celebrating the National Italian American Foundation Gala in Washington D.C.

The National Italian American Foundation is celebrating its 51st Anniversary in grand style next week in Washington, DC, and I’m honored to be attending and covering all of the festivities, including a performance by my absolute fav, comic #SebastianManiscalco, in addition to a performance by famed tenor #ChristopherMacchio.

Also looking forward to covering and attending the luncheon moderated by award-winning journalist #MariaBartiromo, in addition to covering the achievements of other luminaries. And joining me on my show today is #GabriellaMileti, Director of Special Programs and PR for #NIAF to talk all about it!

The mission of the National Italian American Foundation is multifaceted. Having been
around for more than 50 years, it’s formed into somewhat of a powerhouse in the Italian community from coast to coast. Funds raised through NIAF provide scholarships, grants, heritage travel, and more. Their mission to preserve Italian American heritage and culture runs deep, and we’ll talk about what that means not just now, but for future generations of Italians.

In addition, each year NIAF partners with one of Italy’s 20 regions to showcase the history, natural resources, artisans, cuisine, and more – and this year, NIAF will be highlighting the beauty and significance of the Lombardia region. Also being honored and recognized at this all-day and night event on 10/17: #AnthonyCapuano, #PamelaWright, #PierrobertoFolgiero, #MikePompeo, #AngelinoAlfano, among others. Tickets may still be available if you go to the NIAF website.

Please enjoy my conversation with Gabriella on all video and audio platforms of #DeborahKobyltLIVE, #LittleItalyPodcast, and #LittleItalyOfLAPodcast. I’m your host, #DeborahZaraKobylt, and it’s my pleasure and honor to welcome you here.

Traci Park, Representing The Residents of LA’s Westside

Please join me in welcoming Councilwoman Traci Park, who represents CD11 in Los Angeles.

Traci was reelected to represent her constituents, and she’s ready to keep working for the people of LA on many of the matters that matter most to them – homeless issues, fire recovery, public safety, how to navigate the upcoming Olympics, and much more.

Also, we will talk with her about the upcoming mayoral election between incumbent #KarenBass and current LA City Councilwoman #NithyaRaman representing the 4th district. Who does Traci believe will be the best candidate for mayor for the next four years? We’ll talk about that.

There’s a lot to discuss, so please join me, #DeborahZaraKobylt, and be part of the conversation. My conversation with Traci will be LIVE on Youtube, and we will then post it on all other media platforms. Please tell your friends, and let’s all be part of the solution to make LA great again.
