Cathryn Michon, Animal Advocate & Bestselling Author, “I’m Still Here: A Dog’s PurposeForever”
Cathryn Michon is a filmmaker, actor, animal advocate, and she joins us to talk about her latest book, “I’m Still Here: A Dog’s Purpose Forever.”
So many of us are dog lovers. After all, they are our family. Did you ever wonder why dogs don’t live longer? Cathryn addresses that and so much more in her national bestseller. “I’m Still Here” is told from the point of view of an angel dog, or a dog who has passed, revealing to those who loved him that he’s in a safe place, and he’s watching over his human family. It’s a beautiful portrayal of the tenderness and bond that animals share with each of us.
Cathryn has had an incredible career, and is the only woman screenwriter in America who had two feature films in world release in 2019, “A Dog’s Way Home,” and “A Dog’s Journey,” the sequel to “A Dog’s Purpose,” all told from a dog’s point of view.
Cathryn’s writing credits include “South Park,” “Designing Women,” and others. She’s performed at Chicago’s Second City and appeared both on TV and off-broadway. Well ask her about that, and when her love of animals began. Oh, and we’ll talk about her husband too, author Williams Bruce Cameron, whose book, “A Dog’s Purpose,” spent 52-weeks on the New York Times bestseller list.
