John Kobylt, L.A. & California Post Election What’s Next

Election Day 2026 was a pivotal one for Los Angeles, the state of California, and throughout the country. So much is changing quickly locally and nationally, and who we vote for matters. And for the most part, the results are in.
I asked #JohnKobylt of the award-winning #JohnKobyltShow heard daily on #KFIam640 and #iHeartRadio to join us to talk about the results in Los Angeles, our great state of California, and throughout the nation about the results. John’s show is among the most listened to in the country. He not only has an inside perspective on politics, but he’s got a front-row seat on how listeners feel about what’s going on in their world, because he talks with them about it. And today, John joins us to discuss the issues and propositions that affect people most, how the votes went, and what we can expect moving forward.

Please join me in welcoming John Kobylt to our show, #DeborahKobyltLIVE, and tell your friends, too. I’m your host, #DeborahZaraKobylt, and it’s my pleasure to welcome you here.

Julie Carmen, Award-Winning Actor, Producer, Psychotherapist

Please join me in welcoming award-winning actor, producer, and licensed psychotherapist #JulieCarmen has been called an actor who “brings an innate chameleon quality to her roles,” and we’re thrilled to have her join us on our show today. Julie’s career has spanned decades, working beside some of the greats in the business, including #RobertRedford, #JohnCassavetes, and #JohnCarpenter.

Julie has been globally recognized for her performance in the Cassavetes classic, “Gloria.” She also starred in Redford’s “Milagro Beanfield War,” one of my favs, and played the alluring vampire in “Fright Night Part 2,” a classic that’s recently made a revival in theaters. You might also remember her in the horror flick, “In the Mouth of Madness,” also experiencing a resurgence due to a phenomenal cult following of the genre and the beauty of 4K restoration.

In addition to the big screen, Julie has appeared on Broadway and in numerous TV shows, including “Grey’s Anatomy.”

Julie joins us today to talk about all that and the ever-changing entertainment industry & how to stay ahead of it. In addition, we will discuss the role women are playing in making decisions on Hollywood productions. She currently serves on the Board of Women Independent Producers.

Julie was raised in New Jersey near where I was born. She is of mixed descent and is currently working on a documentary about her great-grandfather, a brilliant Afro-Cuban classical pianist.
